Headquartered in Vermont, Wessel Associates provides advancement assistance to clients in education, health care, the arts and other community organizations in the Northeastern states as well as nationwide to collegiate fraternity and sorority foundations.

Wessel Associates' services include development audits, image audits, planning, marketing, feasibility studies, annual giving programs, major gift and planned giving programs, campaign organization, staff recruitment and management, board development, and alumni or public relations.

Ms. Wessel has two decades of comprehensive professional development experience in higher education as well as many years of volunteer fundraising in the non-profit arena. Currently, she chairs the Board of Visitors for the College of Health Professions and Human Services at Syracuse University. She is vice-president of both the Board of Trustees of the National Panhellenic Conference Foundation of Indianapolis, IN and the Region I Board of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and serves on the VSO Governing Board's development committee. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Women's Philanthropy Institute of Rochester, MI. Her recent tenure as a member and then chair of the Board of Trustees of the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation of Englewood, CO, for whom as a volunteer she established a comprehensive development operation for its 130,000-member sorority, earned her the organization's highest honor. An earlier eleven-year commitment as member and then chair of the Manlius, NY Library Board of Trustees and her volunteer fund-raising efforts for the Library earned her the town's citizen of the year award in 1990. She is a member of the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

Prior to her development career, Ms. Wessel was a systems engineer for IBM and she brings a corporate perspective to the advancement profession.
